Geospatial Fusion for Homeland Security
Rolta's Geospatial Fusion solution provides the ability for instantaneous fusion of various disparate databases and software applications with Geo-spatial data for generating real-time location specific analysis and reports. We believe this will facilitate the creation of an omni-present information super-highway, critical for security agencies to access and utilize a comprehensively integrated national geospatial and MIS data warehouse for rapid decision-making purposes.
Rolta's unique solution and our capabilities
- Indigenous, easy to use Software technology almost ready for use and 100% owned by Rolta
- Backed by over 1000 man years of development by exceptionally competent software teams experienced in web, database, SOA integration and Geospatial technologies.
- Proven technology, successfully implemented and in use at hundreds of enterprises worldwide.
- Competent and experienced implementation, customization, development and professional services staff with wide ranging experience in GIS, eCommerce, Hardware, Networking, Data base, SOA and Infrastructure implementation.
- Indian-owned with a large local support network across the country.

Technical Highlights of Geospatial Fusion:
- Easy (web-based) ability to integrate multiple applications meant for various agencies / decision making purposes
- Ingest multiple disparate databases consumed on-the-fly through a Web Service to provide a true SOA implementation
- Solution allows for fusion of GIS and Non-GIS data from disparate data sources already created, and leveraging huge investments made by stakeholder organizations, permitting re-use of existing data assets
- On-demand linking of Geospatial data to document references anywhere on the Internet / Intranet
- Collaboration via Map URLs available via Map Windows & email
- User Identity & Access Management for login and authentication and configurable privileges
Meeting Operational Needs
- Geo Spatial Fusion is very critical for the police department, fire brigade and other crisis management organizations and helps them to make their contingency plans more effective.
- Identifying exact location of incident and supporting critical infrastructural facilities and communicating the same to all the participating security agencies. For example, in case of a bomb blast, the exact location of incident can be marked on a map along with the nearby critical support facilities like Fire Stations, Hospitals, Ambulances, etc.
- Locating the nearest rescue & reinforcement teams or Quick Response Teams (QRTs) incorporating vehicle locating systems and identifying entry/exit routes to/from the infrastructure assets. For example, in the event of an attack on a building, the fastest and safest route taken by the nearest available ambulance (or security vehicle) can be identified and communicated to the response teams.
- Availability of information instantly enables collaborative analysis of the situation. For example, in a series of blasts at multiple train stations, situational awareness can be shared amongst the Railway Protection Force, State Police, Fire Stations, Ambulance and Hospitals to enable coordinated rescue operation.
- Through GeoRSS, weather-based information can be integrated to assess the impact of the same for rescue operation. For example, in the event of a chemical release or spread of wildfire, availability of wind information from the local weather station is vital.
