ONGC As built Modeling

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) is a leading Indian public sector oil and gas company. ONGC approached Rolta for preparing and updating P&IDs, layout drawings and electrical SLDs, operating manuals for `as–built’ status of nine installations of its Cauvery assets.

Rolta prepared well location maps with surveys of wells and flow lines, gas as well as water injection lines. ONGC was fully satisfied with the efforts and performance, and could use Rolta deliverables as a reference for operation and plant augmentation.

The broad scope of work involved the following activities:

• Collection of data at site and updating existing drawings to as-built/ as-operational status
• Creation and updating of P&IDs / PFDs in an intelligent format
• Conversion of layout drawings and electrical SLD into digital format
• Creation and updation of Operating Manuals and Standard Operation and Maintenance Procedures (SOMPs)
• Preparation of well location maps with survey of wells and flow lines, gas injection lines for GGS, GCS and EPS and Integrated Well data card preparation in predefined format.

Result

• As-built engineering information, thereby reducing insurance premium
• Legacy data attached with ‘intelligent’ P&ID, facilitating ease of operations and maintenance
• Quick access to information like P&ID, manuals and engineering information, thereby reducing downtime
