RoltaNet organises Excellence in Academics Award 2003
Mumbai 19 Sept 2003: RoltaNet, Mumbai's premier Internet Services Provider recently organised the 'RoltaNet Award for Excellence in Academics 2003' ceremony. This is the third year of the Awards, that has been instituted to encourage students for achieving excellence in academics.
These awards were given away on 13 September 2003 to 70 toppers in the board exams (Class X) of March 2003 from select schools of Mumbai. Dr. Sohrab R. Bhot, Director - Operations, eSolutions Business Group, Rolta India Ltd., presented the Awards to the students, at a function attended by the students and their proud parents. The Award comprised a specially designed 'RoltaNet Award for Excellence in Academics' certificate and a 'RoltaPass 100'- a 100 hours Internet Access pack, from RoltaNet.
Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Sohrab R. Bhot, said: "The RoltaNet Award for Excellence in Academics is an extension of Rolta's corporate culture of recognizing and promoting Excellence in all spheres of our activities, not only in the way we conduct business, but also the way we value our stakeholders, and above all our deep commitment towards society at large."
Over 150 premier schools in Mumbai were invited to participate in this Award ceremony. The respective School Principals nominated students scoring the highest marks from the school in the Board Exams 2003. The Award has been very well received by the academic fraternity in Mumbai and has also generated considerable excitement among the student community. Last year 100 toppers from over 95 premier schools in Mumbai were awarded the 'RoltaNet Excellence in Academics Award'.
