Rolta Q2 Net Profit at Rs 25.13 Crores
Mumbai, July 31, 2002: Rolta India Limited, India's premier CAD/CAM/GIS solutions and services provider has announced results for its second quarter of the financial year 2002. Total income for the quarter ended June 2002 is Rs. 69.14 Crores against a total income of Rs. 77.01 Crores during the corresponding period of previous year. The net profit for the Quarter is Rs. 25.13 Crores against the net profit of Rs. 30.23 Crores during the second quarter of the last year.
Thus, the total income for the first half of 2002 works out to Rs. 150.68 Crores as compared to total income of Rs. 157.23 Crores during the corresponding period last year. Net profit for the first Half Year of 2002 is Rs. 56.32 Crores as against Rs. 60.94 Crores in first half year of 2001, due to increased depreciation and a higher Tax provision.
The Earning Per Share (EPS) based on the first half-year results works out to Rs. 8.84, which on an annualised basis translates to Rs. 17.68. The Cash Earning Per Share (CEPS) works out to Rs. 12.97, which when annualised comes to Rs. 25.94.
The sales turnover for the half-year ended June 2002 includes inter-division sales of Rs. 9.69 Crores. This amount represents material and other overheads capitalized at cost, by the Company for its on-going expansion and for providing specialized equipment to its software service production facilities.
